Feng Shui Can Help You Feel Good
17th Mar 2024We're all affected by the energy that swirls around us. Have you ever walked into a room or house and felt uncomfortable in there, or felt happy and uplifted? You're sensing the energy in the place. In feng shui we call it 'feeling the chi.'
Feng shui is all about balancing and harmonising the movement of chi (energy) in your surroundings. Healthy, balanced energy around you can influence balance in you, giving you a sense of wellbeing and helping things to work out and move forward for you. When the energy around you is unhealthy, you risk feeling off-colour, anxious, tired and perhaps can't seem to put your finger on what's wrong. It can affect not only how you feel but also what's going on in your life.
There are different types of chi:
Sheng Chi is anything that is pleasant to your five senses of sight, sound, touch, taste, smell.
Sha chi is attacking energy, aiming uncomfortable vibes at you.
Si chi is decaying energy that can make you feel lethargic, low and lifeless.
Feng shui aims to remove low-energy vibes and replace them with Sheng Chi. This is good energy that can bring joy, contentment, peace of mind, comfort and positivity. It creates space for opportunities, clearer breathing and thinking, and a sense of overall wellbeing.
