I Ching

help in challenging situations

The I Ching, also called The Book of Changes, originated in China about 5000 years ago and is the foundation of Chinese wisdom and philosophy.   It is consulted as an oracle, and to many people it is considered to be a wise and trusted friend and a powerful source of knowledge and inspiration.

Over the centuries, the I Ching has been consulted by emperors, governments, scholars and the general public and is still widely used in every day life in the Eastern world.   Its teachings are for everyone everywhere and they will never date.  They will always be relevant for every moment of every day for the whole of life.

The philosopher Carl Jung, 1875-1961, investigated the I Ching with a view to denouncing it as a useless piece of work,  However, he became fascinated with it, discovering it to be a means of finding out about oneself and one’s direction in life.

Nowadays the I Ching is popular in the western world alongside many other  ancient traditions which we have adopted, such as Taoism, Buddhism, Tai-Chi, Acupuncture and Chinese Traditional Medicine.  The West is now focusing more on the unity of body, mind and spirit for health and well-being and people are becoming more in tune with their inner self for guidance in personal self-development, self-awareness and enlightenment.

The I Ching does not foretell the future.  It identifies the forces which are at work in creating our situation and recommends what needs to happen, so that the overall situation can be changed for the best.  In simple terms, it guides us in the best way of dealing with any situation in which we find ourselves in our daily life.  It helps us to make decisions when we are at a crossroads.

Anyone can use the I Ching and gain benefit from it.  It is not an inherited ability, nor a gift.  It can be used by everyone at any time of day or night.  All that is needed is an understanding of what it is all about and how you can make it work for you.  We can teach you.
