Nurturing, educational and relaxing. Unwind and get back in balance with yoga, learn simple and effective stress relief methods to take home with you, and nourish yourselves with delicious wholesome food prepared with organic locally-sourced ingredients. To assist you with your relaxation, our remedial massage therapist is on-hand to work on shifting toxins and deep-seated stress from your body.
Each day starts with a morning yoga, pranayama (breath work) and meditation session to wake up the body and balance the mind. You do not need to be experienced in yoga. This retreat is open to all, beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. You are encouraged to work at your own pace and take time to listen to your body. After your practice, you will enjoy a delicious organic vegetarian or vegan breakfast, and have time to relax before attending your daily talk on stress relief.
After a nourishing lunch, the afternoon is yours. Unwind with a massage and swim, take a nature walk along the many trails in the area, or take advantage of the activities on offer at the centre, such as horse-riding, kayaking or a trip to the beach. We come together for dinner, followed by an optional yoga nidra or restorative yoga session, preparing you for a restful night’s sleep.

Two daily gentle yoga, pranayama and meditation practices with yoga instructor, Claire
Morning pranayama and meditation will help to restore and revitalise you deeply by accessing stillness and calming the mind, which in turn contributes to softening and calming the body.
Stress has a tendency to sink deep into the tissues and into any space it can find, turning into tightness, pain and overall discomfort. The slow revitalising yoga flow will promote body awareness so that you start to cultivate space within the muscles and between the bones for shifting stuck energy.
You are encouraged to respect your body’s boundaries and practise wisely and safely.
The optional evening yoga practice consists of Restorative Yoga or Yoga Nidra (where your consciousness sits between waking and sleeping), and will involve little or no movement, giving you the opportunity to unwind and relax completely in total comfort, and release any residual physical, mental or emotional stress.
Stress Relief Talks
A series of four talks with Stress Management Therapist, Brenda
Learn simple and manageable techniques that are easily incorporated into every-day life. Gain peace of mind, soothe your anxiety, and promote digestive calm and whole body health.
Our modern-day lifestyle, which is often in overdrive, can create a permanent state of stress. This has become normal for many of us. Yet we don't realise how stress negatively impacts our body, thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
Brenda will help you understand where your stress comes from, how it directly impacts your quality of life on a day-to-day basis, and what you can do to relieve many stress symptoms:
Physically: from headaches, dizziness, exhaustion, digestive upsets, heart palpitations and sleep problems to heart conditions, bowel disorders and cancers.
Emotionally: from irritability and mood swings to anxiety or depression.
Behaviourally: from increased smoking, alcohol and aggression to obsessive behaviour.
Note: attending all talks is the equivalent to 4 hours of CPD - if you are interested in receiving a certificate for attendance, please let us know when you book.
